Maloney’s Budgens has developed a close partnership with celebrity chef Giancarlo Caldesi, who selects
ingredients from Maloney’s Budgens for a seasonal lunch which he and Vince Maloney co-host twice a year.
Giancarlo is the author of many best-selling recipe books, including Return to Tuscany and the trilogy of
recipe books, focused on traditional recipes from Rome, Venice and Amalfi. To celebrate the launch of his
latest book (Rome – century in an Italian kitchen), Giancarlo will be holding a cooking demonstration in the
Shepperton store on Saturday 19th Sept from 10-2pm, when he will be recreating recipes from this book.
There will be copies of this book on the day which Giancarlo will sign should you want him to.
He will be joined by Tim from T&J Fisheries, provider of fresh fish that is caught off the south coast and
delivered to the store within 36 hours. He will there to answer any of your queries on cooking with fish as well
as showcasing his catch of the day in some tasty dishes.
Ben from The Garden Cider Company, a small artisan brewer who produces a range of 3 bottled ciders
made from local, spare and donated garden fruit. They have have 2000 local households who regularly
donate their fruit and in return receive share of the cider back for free.
Maloney’s Budgens also stock a range of delicious foods from Cook, prepared by hand at their Kitchen in
Kent, using the same ingredients and techniques you would use at home. Local customers clearly love the
range as sales have grown hugely over the past 18 months. Come down and see for yourself why customers
